Expert care for treating pediatric cardiac arrhythmias

Pediatric electrophysiologists diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias in children. Arrhythmias can often go undetected, especially since children may not display any symptoms.

Signs that your child may have an irregular heart rhythm can include:

  • Heart palpitations (fluttering or skipping beats)
  • Unexplained dizziness or fainting
  • Family history of sudden cardiac death

If your child has a suspected arrhythmia, our pediatric cardiologists may conduct an electrophysiology study to identify problems with the heart’s electrical system. The electrophysiology study is performed using cardiac catheterization that can be used to diagnose and treat a variety of heart conditions.
